Slim and delicate, tri-colored beeches are hardy but very slow-growing.
They are interesting to consider, and have a very “artistic” look about them; they look like trees are supposed to look and are both elegant and graceful. A tri-colored beech won’t provide a lot of shade or privacy, but they can be the center and focus of any type of garden.
Be careful to avoid trunk and bark damage from winter scald; so, wrap the trunk loosely in the late fall.
